After Robert Hayden's "Tour 5," Tour 703 explores how historical violence is embedded in natural scenes; how one's rememory ravages her experience of the present; how the Black subject ultimately reckons with transcendental beauty, if at all. Through poetic, musical, and theatrical sequences set in a machine-learning-generated, extended reality environment, Lamb recalls sites of self-making in rememoried scenes of her native state of Virginia.
